Gwyn Sanborn has been a voice and stage presence coach for over 10 years. She has been singing for more than 30 years performing in school concerts, specialty groups and musicals throughout High School, College and most recently with Southern California’s country rock Band, The Ranch Rockers. She attended San Diego State University as a voice major prior to moving to Dallas, Texas where she began teaching voice.

As a voice coach she combines a unique blend of vocal technique and stage presence to give students the skills to develop their talent. While in Texas, Gwyn sang with the Wylie Opry and the Johnnie High Country Music Review. It is that experience she drew on to develop “Temecula Live”, a “Grand Ole Opry” type musical review produced with Sandi Capel in 2006 at the Old Town Temecula Community Theater. “I wanted to give my students and other local performers an opportunity to sing with a band. It’s so much fun and will allow performers an opportunity to take that next step in their career. Give them a place to shine!”

Along with an over-whelming amount of performances in clubs, concerts and rodeos from Nashville to Oahu, she has shared the stage with several top country music performers including Andy Griggs, Clay Walker, Lynn Anderson, Neal McCoy and Steve Holy. Gwyn has also stepped up to the plate in bringing home the gold. In 1998 she won both the Local and State CCMA (California Country Music Association) Awards for Female Vocalist of the Year, at the North American Country Music Associations International competition in Gatlinburg Tennessee. Chosen in both 1997 and 1999 to perform at both the CCMA and Hawaiian Country Music Award Shows. In 2001 she released her follow up CD “Talk to My Heart” to her 1998 debut CD, “Nobody Love You, Like You Do”. Gwyn is also the Director of the Oak Grove Performance Team. Under her leadership, the Oak Grove students are thriving and not only improving their musical ability but increasing their self-esteem as well. For more information about her other accomplishments check out http://www.ranchrockers.com and http://www.temeculalive.org.

Since returning to California, she taught at Sounds of Music until her recent move to Temecula Music Academy. Married to Mike Sanborn, they have 4 beautiful girls. Gwyn produces and sings with Sandi Capel at Country at the Merc every Saturday night and is the President of the West Coast Country Music Association.
